This is good for the country on face value.
Obviously, the question is: is it a sincere attempt to get the country on a better track? Or is it more a case of doing the popular things that need to be done to retain power ..so more damaging things can be done under that cover?
Assuming it's predominantly the first then hats off to the uniparty. I railed against the parting of the red sea that led to his coronation, but if the country does end up better off I'll show some good grace and refrain from sniping from the side lines. For a while at least.
